The Terre Haute Convention & Visitors Bureau needed a modern tourism website to compete with regional destinations and better engage visitors, partners, and local businesses. Their existing site lacked the functionality, analytics, and content flexibility required to promote attractions, events, and trip-planning resources.
I led the strategy, art direction, UX structure, and content development for a new CMS-driven destination website built on Simpleview, working closely with the Executive Director and the Simpleview implementation team. This included site mapping, navigation planning, SEO-focused content, and a visitor-centric design system. The site launched with 1,000+ CMS entries — including restaurants, hotels, museums, parks, and attractions — each tagged and categorized for seamless sorting, filtering, and trip-planning on the front end.
The result was an integrated platform that improved search performance, enhanced user engagement, and positioned Terre Haute as a stronger regional destination for tourism, events, and recreation.
